Class description
Creative dance (3–4 yrs)
This program is specifically designed to provide boys and girls with a strong foundation in dance and movement. In this program, children will focus on the basic physical elements of space & how we relate to it, basic locomotor & non locomotor movements, musical awareness, opposites, directions, pathways, and elementary positions & movements of ballet. In addition to these physical elements, we integrate the intellectual concepts of self-awareness, teamwork, creative expression, imagination, and basic body/health awareness.

PreBallet and Level 0 (5-8yrs)
PreBallet is designed for young students who are new to dancing or who have had limited dance training. PreBallet covers the elementary exercises of classical ballet training emphasizing creativity, posture, flexibility, foot exercises, stage direction, as well as focusing on the development of musical and rhythmic awareness, memory and focus for the training process, and understanding of the protocol and etiquette of the ballet studio.
Ballet I
This program is based on Russian system, concentratining on improving alignment, strength, flexibility and musicality. Russian method provides students with a structured, scientific and methodological approach to dance which takes the human anatomy into consideration. Hallmarks of the system are the continual flow of the body with the co-ordination of arm and head positions.
Historical Dance
Introduction to European dances of the fourteenth to twentieth centuries through a study of each period’s history, literature, music, art, and costumes. The dances are learned either in their original version or in their classical ballet form. This class is also the introduction to partnering, teaching the methods of stage etiquette between boys and girls.
